Malapitan leads oath-taking of Caloocan youth council members

Caloocan City Mayor Along Malapitan recently led the oath-taking ceremony of the newly appointed members of the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC). The LYDC is a partner organization of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) responsible for crafting plans and programs that cater to the needs of the youth in the city.

During the ceremony, Mayor Malapitan congratulated the newly appointed representatives of the LYDC, which includes Jane Samosot of Junior Marketing Association UCC North for Environment, Crispulo Angeles Jr. of UCC ALERT for Health, Fern Amelette Tanghay of North Caloocan Youth Council for Peace Building and Security, Dimple Alejandro of Youth Brigade 163 for Governance, Ruem Delilan of Aksyon Kabataan for Active Citizenship, Joshua Molavin of SACRED Youth 179 for Global Mobility, Yienah Ramos of Young Entrepreneurs' Society UCC South for Economic Empowerment, and Anthony Kiele Tabuena of ICC Peer Counselors Organization for Education.

Mayor Malapitan expressed her confidence in the newly appointed members, citing their potential to lead and empower the youth in the city. She emphasized that the local government is committed to supporting the LYDC in their efforts to improve the lives of the youth in Caloocan.

"Asahan niyo po na kaagapay niyo ang ating pamahalaan sa pagpapabuti ng kapakanan at kinabukasan ng mga pag-asa ng bayan," Mayor Malapitan said.

With the appointment of the new LYDC members, the city government is hopeful that they will work hand-in-hand with the SK to create programs and initiatives that will address the various concerns of the youth, such as education, health, economic empowerment, and active citizenship. The ceremony signifies the government's continuous efforts to empower and involve the youth in the development of the city.
