The city government of Caloocan will only allow 50 percent of its employees to physically report for work amid the rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

This was announced by Mayor Oca Malapitan during an emergency meeting with the city government’s department heads Monday.

He made the move in a bid to the lessen further transmission of the virus.

As of Sunday (March 14), the city has a total of 648 active COVID-19 cases.
