Caloocan provides booster shots to senior citizens
The Caloocan City government started giving COVID-19 booster shots to senior citizens and persons with comorbidities on Nov. 23, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Individuals who want to get their booster shots can visit the city’s vaccination sites from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Both the senior citizens and persons with comorbidities must bring their vaccination cards and valid IDs, the city government said.
A medical certificate is also required for recipients who are immuno-compromised (HIV, cancer, transplant recipients, patients with immunosuppresives).
The local government said that individuals can choose the vaccine brand for booster shots.
However, the Moderna brand is not yet available.
The local government said non-residents are allowed to get booster shots in the city, and other vaccination schedules will be announced soon.
As of Nov. 22, the local government has already administered booster shots to the city health workers.
