Caloocan holds dancing event for seniors
The Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in Caloocan City recently hosted a ballroom dancing event, which aimed to provide a fun activity for the senior citizens while also promoting their physical health and well-being. Around 823 seniors participated in the event, making it a success.
The event was held as part of the Caloocan City's 61st Foundation Anniversary celebration, which aimed to celebrate the city's achievements and to provide a platform for community engagement.
The event was open to all senior citizens in the city, regardless of their dancing ability or experience. The organizers aimed to make the event inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their background or social status.
The seniors were treated to a diverse range of music, including ballroom classics, modern hits, and even some local favorites. The dance floor was filled with seniors moving in unison, enjoying the rhythm and flow of the music, and socializing with each other.
The event was not just about dancing, however. It was also an opportunity for the seniors to get some physical exercise, which is crucial for maintaining their health and mobility. Ballroom dancing is known to improve balance, coordination, and flexibility, all of which are vital for our seniors' health and well-being.
