Caloocan employees celebrate gift giving
Employees of Caloocan City government gave Christmas gifts such as toys, hygiene kits, and food that will be distributed to the children and senior citizens under the care of the City Social Welfare and Development in Tahanang Mapagpala, Brgy. 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
The annual gift giving was participated in by more than 500 staff who were hired and promoted in 2020 and 2021, according to the City Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO).
The City Health Department recorded 64 new hires and promotions, the highest among all the departments.
“Ito ay patunay na pinapahalagahan natin ang hindi matatawarang serbisyo ng ating mga kawani, lalo na’t patuloy ang ating laban sa pandemyang dulot ng COVID-19 (This is a proof that we give importance to the invaluable service of our staff, especially in our continuing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic),” Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan said.
The local government said that there are around 1,700 employees who were hired and promoted during the last term of Malapitan as the city mayor (2019-2022).
