Caloocan distributes 70 percent of ECQ cash aid
Seventy percent of the P1.34 billion cash allotted to Caloocan City residents who are beneficiaries of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) financial aid have already been distributed by the local government, Mayor Oca Malapitan said in a report by Philippine News Agency.
This came after at least 267,704 residents already received their cash assistance since the start of the payout exactly a week ago, Malapitan added.
The mayor said the local government managed to distribute the cash aid immediately as they used various schemes, such as text messaging and other online digital technologies for documentation and distribution of the assistance.
Malapitan assured his constituents that the distribution of the cash assistance will be completed “in the coming days.”
