Around 100,000 individuals have already received their coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines in the Diocese of Caloocan in coordination with the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

Fr. Rene Richard Bernardo, head of the Caloocan Diocesan Health Care Ministry, the diocese has also started the inoculation of minors aged 12 to 17 with the help of the three local government units

“Vaccinations for our youth have also started...the vaccine used is Pfizer,” Bernardo said in an interview with Radio Veritas.

At the same time, he added that the vaccination program is not only limited to the residents of the said three cities but also from the neighboring provinces.

“It is very interesting because the Diocese of Caloocan serves not only the people of Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas. But also those from the neighboring provinces and towns, such as Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, and other areas,” said Bernardo.

On the other hand, the Catholic priest added the vaccination program is not exclusive to Catholics as they also accept those from other religions.

“It is also good for us to understand that it is not only for Catholic Christians but also for our brothers and sisters in other sects such as Muslims and different denominations and religions,” he said.

Among the Diocese’s vaccination centers include the following:

-San Roque Cathedral

-Saint Gabriel the Archangel Parish

-Shrine of Our Lady of Grace Parish

-San Ezekiel Moreno Parish

-Notre Dame of Greater Manila

-Saints Peter and John Parish, Potrero, San Antonio de Padua, Barangay Tonsuya

-Immaculate Concepcion Parish, Concepcion

-Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Maysilo

-San Bartolome Parish de Malabon

-San Jose Academy
