198 persons receive CELA in Caloocan

Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan recently led the distribution of certificates of eligibility of lot award to residents of Civic Center in the city.

“These 198 beneficiaries are included in the first batch of awardees,” Malapitan said. “Based on census, we are expecting 2,100 beneficiaries upon the Local Inter-Agency Committee’s approval of their pre-qualification.”

Caloocan Rep. Dale Malapitan and House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo also attended the CELA distribution.

"Under Presidential Proclamation No. 397, s. 2003, we are set to award a total land area of 14 hectares and the first 198 individuals are now the bonafide owners of the land where they have been residing for the past 30 years," Rep. Malapitan said.
