Caloocan reports 20% decrease in crime rate

Bumaba ng 20 porsyento ang naitalang crime rate sa lungsod ng Caloocan simula Oktubre 23, 2020 hanggang Enero 15, 2021, kumpara sa kaparehong petsa noong nakalipas na taon.

Ito ang iniulat ni Caloocan Police chief Col. Samuel Mina sa Caloocan Peace and Order Council Meeting na ginanap ngayong araw sa pangunguna ni Mayor Oca Malapitan.

Ayon kay Col. Mina, nasa 148 ang naitalang bilang ng 8 focus crime rate kumpara sa 187 noong nakaraang taon. Dagdag pa niya, malaki ang ibinaba pagdating sa theft at robbery cases.

Iniulat din ni Col. Mina ang pagbaba ng mga nahuhuling lumalabag sa mga ordinansa sa lungsod.

"Nagiging well-educated na po ang ating mga mamamayan. Noong ECQ ay umaabot po sa 300 plus ang ating mga nahuhuli daily, ngayon recently ay ang pinakamataas na lang po ay nasa 80," ani Col. Mina.

Kasabay nito, tiniyak ng Caloocan Police na patuloy ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng mga ordinansa at health and safety protocols, higit na sa mga pampublikong lugar tulad ng mga palengke.

"Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa ating kapulisan na katuwnag natin sa pagpapanatili ng peace and order sa lungsod. Kasabay nito ay ang patuloy na pakiusap natin sa ating mga mamamayan na na sumusunod sa ating mga umiiral na ordinansa," pahayag ni Mayor Oca.
