Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) is offering free pelvic ultrasound services for pregnant women who are 20 weeks above and pap smear services for non-pregnant women every Tuesday this month of March. Women who are interested in availing the free services can visit CCMC, Caloocan City - South, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 nn.
In celebration of Women's Month, the local government of Caloocan City is committed to providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to women. The free services are aimed at promoting women's health and encouraging them to take care of their well-being.
Pelvic ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. It is an essential tool in monitoring the health and development of the fetus during pregnancy. On the other hand, pap smear is a screening test that checks for abnormal cells in the cervix, which can lead to cervical cancer if left untreated.
The free services offered by CCMC are a significant help to women, especially those who do not have access to regular healthcare services. With the availability of these free services, women are encouraged to prioritize their health and well-being.
Overall, the free pelvic ultrasound and pap smear services offered by CCMC this Women's Month are a testament to the city government's commitment to women's health. The local government aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services to all, particularly to women who need them the most.
